| Strategic Identification of Acquisition Targets in China’s TSM Sector |
|
Objective To identify the most suitable acquisition targets in the Technology Service & Maintenance (TSM) sector in China, and to recommend these to the client. Methodology The Beijing Axis firstly researched the IT industry in China to develop a comprehensive perspective of the industry in China, before focusing more closely on the TSM sector. By using a matrix of criteria (TSM revenue, TSM ratio, coverage, TSM engineers, TSM partnerships, client industries, and local cost structure), we were able to reduce the potential targets to 10. By analysing the strengths and weaknesses of each of these top 10 targeted candidate companies, The Beijing Axis was able to propose 5 companies suitable for further research and analysis. The short-listed companies were then analysed in more detail to attain a deeper understanding of their respective strengths and weaknesses, after which a strategic recommendation was presented to the client. Outcome The client was satisfied with the final shortlist of 5 acquisition targets that The Beijing Axis recommended, and moved to the engagement and negotiation stages based on the information and in-depth analysis presented by The Beijing Axis. |
