In anticipation of his presentation at the upcoming Zambian Mining and Energy Conference (Zimec), Nitesh Dullabh, Director of The Beijing Axis, was quoted by miningweekly.com on China's growing prominence in Africa. The event will be held at the Mulungushi International Conference Center, Lusaka, Zambia from 15 to June 17.

On 28 April 2011, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) hosted the fifth installment of its annual conference on Chinese outbound investment. Dirk Kotze, General Manager: Strategic Projects, and Haiwei Huang, Senior Manager: China Business Development and International Marketing Coordination from The Beijing Axis attended the seminar. Dirk was also invited to deliver a presentation at the event on the major trends and dynamics of China’s drive to invest abroad, particularly focusing on implications from a Chinese perspective.

On 13-14 April 2011, the leaders of the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) attended the Third BRICS Summit held in Sanya, China. Kobus van der Wath, Founder and Group Managing Director of The Beijing Axis, also attended the event.

On 12 April 2011, Beijing Axis Strategy General Manager Javier Cunat and Senior Consultant Barry van Wyk attended a bilateral trade and investment seminar at the China World Trade Center in Beijing’s Guomao district. The event was attended by the President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, as well as Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan.
