Provide a Short-list of Niche IT Companies for Acquisition in the Chinese Market Desired Outcome For the client to grow one of its key divisions' market share in China (conceivably from USD20 million to USD 100 million), identify and recommend 3 to 5 companies in a niche market of IT services industry as acquisition targets so as to achieve growth through the acquisition. Methodology A 3-phase approach was designed and adopted for the investment consulting project: Phase-1 (overview of the IT service niche market in China, clarification of strategic intent, setting of selection criteria); Phase-2 (compilation of universe list of target companies, filtering of the universe list, company analysis of 5 short-listed companies); Phase-3 (company interaction, due diligence, deal structuring). Outcome Insightful views on key segments of China's IT service industry and detailed company analysis of the 5 short-listed suitable options were presented to the client's senior management. With THE BEIJING AXIS's heavy involvement, a proposal was reported to the corporate operating committee for strategic decisions. Based on a high level valuation offered by THE BEIJING AXIS, the process of direct engagement with selected candidates commenced. |
